Twin County Regional Healthcare, (http://www.dukelifepointhealthcare.com) is located in Galax, VA, within 75 minutes from Winston-Salem and 90 minutes from Charlotte, and Greensboro, NC and Roanoke, VA. Galax is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia.
The physicians are employed by Duke LifePoint. Duke LifePoint offers a wealth of resources in every aspect of hospital operations such as medical and financial resources. TCRH was one of 750 hospitals awarded an ‘A’ by the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades for its efforts in protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest safety standards in the U.S.
TCRH is licensed for 141 private, acute-care hospital. The primary service area is 35,000 and the secondary service area is 6,000. Physicians will be part of well established busy practices consisting of 10 clinics with multi-specialty groups. The expected daily patient volume is 18-20 patients. Office hours are 8AM – 5PM Monday - Friday. The practice is electronically networked.

The ideal candidate will be board certified or eligible M.D. or D.O.
H-1 and J1 Visa candidates will be accepted.
For physician applicants (M.D. or D.O.), evidence that the applicant has successfully completed an allopathic or osteopathic residency program of at least three (3) years, approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and is currently board certified or board admissible by a board of the American Board of Medical Specialties.
Duke LifePoint is pursuing partnerships with community hospitals and regional medical centers looking to become part of a stable, well-funded system. We will acquire hospitals, as well as enter into shared ownership and governance agreements and joint ventures with medical facilities and health providers.
Duke LifePoint is seeking relationships with regional medical centers and related health providers in markets that can benefit from LifePoint's experience in developing community hospitals to reach their full potential and where Duke can bring significant value with its renowned patient safety and clinical quality programs. We will partner with community hospitals that share our commitment to high quality patient care. While we don’t have any specific parameters around size or service area, we expect that most of the hospitals with which we partner will be the sole providers in their communities.
Additional Salary Information: The Physician will qualify for production incentives based quarterly on wRVU’s.
