Memorial Healthcare System is seeking two fellowship trained heart transplant/ heart failure Cardiologists to join an established hospital-based adult heart transplant/ heart failure and advanced mechanical support program. Qualified candidates should be board certified in cardiovascular disease as well as BE/BC in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. Physicians should have clinical competency and expertise in caring for patients who are candidates for or are recipients of advanced heart failure therapies including mechanical circulatory devices, ECMO and cardiac transplantation. In addition to a large general cardiology practice, the Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute includes all relevant subspecialties including electrophysiology, preventative and interventional cardiology, vascular, congenital heart disease, imaging and genetics. The cardiothoracic program has also earned and maintained a three-star rating. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a 232-bed freestanding facility and part of the Memorial Healthcare System, also runs a very successful cardiac division that includes heart transplant and Marfan Clinic programs.
This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
