| Johns Hopkins University Faculty Recruitment Comprehensive Care Practice The Johns Hopkins University Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity to join the Division of Addiction Medicine. This Division has a busy, outpatient primary care practice that provides primary care with a focus on caring for individuals with substance use disorder and HIV infection. Faculty also cover an inpatient unit dedicated to treating withdrawal and provide addiction medicine consultations for the inpatient services. Faculty work closely with Addiction Medicine fellows and are involved in teaching medical students and residents. There are also numerous opportunities for scholarly activity in collaboration with faculty in the division and other departments of the Schools of Medicine and Public Health. The position may include faculty appointment at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. There is also the option for an outpatient-only clinical associate position. Candidates should be: board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine, have MD license or be expected to apply for MD license(board certification in Addiction Medicine is encouraged), waivered to prescribe buprenorphine (have a DEA X number), have experience with caring for patients with SUDs, and be dedicated to excellent clinical care and teaching.
