The Centers for Cancer Care is seeking a board certified oncologist to replace a physician that is moving to take care of family. Prior private practice experience is preferred. We have served the community of Fredericksburg for more than 5 years as a single location practice in a beautiful part of the Texas Hill Country. The ideal candidate is exuberant, experienced and outgoing, knows how to market himself or herself to both referring Physicians and the public. We highly value patient care, and really taking care of our patients the right way. Our goal is to have a fun, upbeat atmosphere, and make the best situation out of a tough and difficult time in our patient's lives. The clinic averages a daily census of 15-20 patients, 4-5 new consults a week, and is an 8-4 clinic on most days. We Treat 3D/IMRT/IGRT, with cone beam and OBI and a small amount of SBRT, and SRS. VMAT is a planned upgrade to be brought into the clinic under the leadership of our new Radiation Oncologist.
The Friendship Lane Center for Cancer Care in Fredericksburg, Texas, is an independent private-practice Radiation Oncology clinic located on the Friendship Lane Village Professional Campus, a short ride from the scenic Enchanted Rock and historic downtown. Repeatedly ranked as a top U.S. “most-livable community” and “best retirement destination”, Fredericksburg enjoys mild year-round weather, boasts a superb local Hospital and has the best mix of urban amenities with small town charm in the state. This climate and topography lend themselves to wildflowers, world-class golf, hunting, fishing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, biking, birding and an endless array of other outdoor recreational activities, while indoor pursuits are bolstered by first-class performing arts venues, local symphony, art galleries, gourmet restaurants, wine bars, vineyards, parks and museums. Living in Fredericksburg provides easy access to the urban amenities of San Antonio, 45 minutes to the south, or Austin, 60 minutes to the east, for the best of both worlds. The demographics of this area are ideal for Oncology. The population is growing steadily as well as showing a pronounced tilt toward the retirement age segments and private payor contracts through regional PHO’s are strong.
This is a modest-sized clinic with room to grow, and there are possibilities for expansion. You'll be delighted by our supportive Gillespie County medical community giving diversification and outreach to your practice. A financial package will be customized to the candidate, but would involve a guaranteed salary transitioning to full professional fees and a share of the technical income stream. Benefits include Health Care, 401k, Life, access to disability STD and LTD, and flexible vacation.
