Henry Ford Health System is seeking a board certified/board eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician to join our multi-disciplinary spine team. Fellowship training is a plus, however not a requirement.
We are seeking physiatrists with special interest in treating a broad spectrum of spinal conditions. In this multidisciplinary role, the physiatrist will interface with Neurosurgery, Neurology, Anesthesia Pain, Rehabilitation Services (PT/OT/SLP), and Orthopedics.
There are opportunities for an outpatient and/or inpatient role.
For candidates possessing expertise and certification with procedures, including EMG/NCS, peripheral nerve & joint injections, and spine procedures - there are opportunities to expand the scope of general practice and work with Neurology, Anesthesia Pain, and Orthopedics. If interested in interventional spine procedures, candidates must be BC/BE in an ACGME-accredited pain fellowship.
As an academic program, we are active in clinical trials and basic science research. Our practice position offers time for educational and other academic endeavors, including a teaching role with medical students, residents and fellows. Additionally, a tenure-track academic appointment is offered through Wayne State University School of Medicine.
