With a strong commitment to raising the bar for healthcare in our community, Nassau University Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and a 530-bed teaching hospital affiliated with the North Shore/LIJ Health Care System and Stony Brook University.
We have an exceptional opportunity for a part time Board Certified Neonatologist with a sincere commitment to a positive patient experience. At our NICU at Nassau University Medical Center, an exceptional team of healers employ sophisticated, life-sustaining technologies and the latest healing protocols to give newborns in distress the time and loving care they need to thrive. It provides strict isolation and infection control procedures, improved temperature regulation, and access to specialized feeding, respiratory assistance and advanced healing technologies for newborns in severe pulmonary distress.
We currently seek a part time experienced Neonatologist to be responsible for the NICU, Newborn nurseries, High Risk follow up clinic and consults. NUMC has a fully approved Pediatric residency program. The residents work in the NICU along with a dedicated nursing staff with many years’ experience. Cohen’s Children’s Hospital at North Shore-LIJ is our regional perinatal center and accepts infants who require more complex intervention.
You will work closely with Obstetrics which has full time maternal-fetal-medicine physicians. There are 3 full time neonatal attendings with one additional sessional attending. All of the NICU admissions are born at NUMC.
