Responsible for diagnosing and treating common diseases and injuries for patients of all ages who have been admitted to the hospital.
Communication of preventative measures, both medical and non-medical, for avoiding diseases and injuries.
Prescribe and administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care for all age groups.
Order, perform, and interpret tests.
Analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' conditions.
Monitor patients' conditions and progress, re-evaluation treatments as necessary.
Collect and maintain patient information such as medical history, reports, and exam results.
Advise patients of preventative self-care including diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Participate in 24-hour rotation system. Identify serious or specialized illness or injuries, and refer patients to the necessary specialist.
Maintain successful working relationships with nurses and other medical facility staff.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Medical Degree (MD) in Medicine.
Completion of residency in internal or family medicine.
Current or immediate eligibility for Oregon medical license.
