AOMC's 20-bed, Level-III NICU is a regional perinatal center serving an eight-county area in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

The hospital averages 1,300 births per year, and the NICU has an average daily census of 14 neonates. Approximately 15 to 20 percent of the unit's 370 annual admissions are transports from referral hospitals that serve the population of the surrounding counties.
