Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and the Department of Pediatrics of the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Critical Care Medicine faculty member/Fellowship Program Director. The successful candidate will be a pediatrician, committed to a career in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Responsibilities of the position include providing direct patient care, teaching, scholarship, and developing, overseeing, and improving residency or fellowship programs, implementing changes based on the current accreditation requirements, and preparing for accreditation site visits and review by the ACGME Review Committees. This is a full-time position. Qualifications of the position include board certifications in pediatrics and/or a pediatric sub-specialty and evidence of leadership abilities with an MD, DO or MD, PhD. Faculty rank is commensurate with the applicant’s status and training and will be determined based on Northwestern University criteria: Instructor through/to Professor are welcomed. Salary is competitive. We are looking for Physician-Scientists that are pediatric intensivists on a Non-Tenured track. Also interested in candidates with a focus on basic science, translational science and/or clinical science that has application to pediatric critical care medicine. Clinical responsibilities will be weighted based on applicants’ scholarship and other non-clinical pursuits. Anticipated starting date is open to negotiations.
