The University of Florida, College of Medicine, department of Community Health and Family Medicine is seeking several full-time Assistant/Associate/Full Professors to join us at one of our clinics in Gainesville and Old Town, Florida. Each of the positions will provide direct patient care to a diverse population, in a team-based setting working with UF medical students. In addition to an outstanding staff and nurses, we have RN health coaches and pharmacists as part of the health care teams. The positions are non-tenure accruing positions. Full-Time is preferred, however, part-time will be considered depending upon the needs of the clinics and applicants.

Clinical Duties:
Our positions provide direct patient care in clinic and participate in inpatient and/or clinic call rotations dependent on the interest of the final candidates and the needs of the department. In addition, these positions may work closely with ARNP/PAs in a supervisory role providing team-based care using innovative models.
Educational Activities:
Our positions teach medical students during patient care activities, on inpatient rounds (if applicable), and/or during educational conferences. Our department encourages scholarly activity and professional development as to advance our faculty, department and discipline. Experienced and accomplished mentors are available to assist, as well as departmental support to present and publish your work, and provide experiences for your professional development.

About Old Town, Florida:
Old Town Florida is located in Dixie County, and is one of the most historic places in Florida. Settled by colonists in 1820 Old Town is the home of the Suwanee River, and several nearby natural springs which makes the community a great location for swimming, fishing, scuba diving, and enjoying underwater wildlife. Old Town is located just over 40 miles west of Gainesville, Florida, the location of the College of Medicine University of Florida Health Science Center.

The vision at CHFM is to be a nationally recognized model department of family medicine. CHFM integrates teaching in humanistic medicine, medical ethics, behavioral medicine, and rural and community health into both undergraduate and graduate curricula.
